Au guidon de votre moto Yamaha Tenere 700 de location, vous profitez du paysage en nous laissant gérer la logistique ! Du désert près de la frontière Mexicaine jusqu'au Grand Canyon dans le nord de l'état, cette splendide aventure off-road vous plongera dans les souvenirs des westerns de votre enfance !
La route part de Phoenix, AZ, puis descend vers la frontière USA-Mexique. On remonte ensuite vers Grand Canyon en restant essentiellement sur la terre ou de petites routes d'arrière pays. C'est un voyage chaud et sec, avec des cactus, des montagnes, des animaux en liberté... Une expérience proche de ce qu'on voit dans les westerns !

DAY by DAY
DAY 1 - Start TUCSON to US border to BENSON
We’ll start our day early to leave Tucson by the highway. There will be a good stretch of pavement up to the start of the BDR, near the border of Mexico. From the Coronado National Monument we will reach the border and then follow it on a beautiful dirt road in the grasslands, up to Benson. The scenery is really stunning on this first day and the dirt is usually really good…

Distance: 95 miles on highway and then 114 miles on dirt
DAY 2 - BENSON to GLOBE
After Benson, we ride on some more dusty gravel roads, with huge cactus on the side. We might get some sand, but nothing too hard – and we can get some fresh drinks in Mammoth anyways. Going into the forest and the mountain at Pionner Pass, we get some extarordinary vista points before reachign Globe.

DAY 3 - GLOBE to FLAGSTAFF
From Globe to Flagstaff, there are two distinct options: pavement or dirt. Both are good with spectacular views of cactus. It’s a long day, but a good one, with an option for fresh drinks at Young. Flagstaff is a vibrant college town where it’s easy to find good restaurants.

DAY 4 - FLAGSTAFF to CAMERON
We’re now heading to Grand Canyon, with here again some good riding but most importantly some access to very remote outlooks of the Grand Canyon.

DAY 5 - Back to TUCSON via SEDONA
It’s now time to hit the road again, with a nice stop in the small town of Sedona, surrounded by amazing red rocks formations. It’s a bit touristy, but also a great place for ice cream and last minute souvenirs shopping before going back to Phoenix.

DAY 6 - Optional
On the 5th day, we start going down to Tucson, but staying as much as possible on dirt. From Cameron, we will take gravel roads down to Payson, AZ. The next morning, there’s another stretch of dirt going down to Globe, AZ. Last, we take the pavement for the last leg to Tucson. Overall, this is a more tiring option but also a more rewarding one!

IS IT A TRIP FOR ME ?
This trip is designed for intermediate riders looking for a fun ride in a remote landscape. While most of the ride is done on pistes larges et des routes en graviersil y aura aussi quelques sections techniques here and there with sections avec du sable profond et des des cailloux roulants. It will never be extremely hard but it’s a reminder that ce voyage n'est pas fait pour les débutants.. There is pavement option every day though if things get too rough.
La météo devrait être agréable à cette période de l'année, mais il faut se préparer for cold temperatures in the morning and evening. Remember that we don’t control the climate!
Last, but not least, we will be riding the Tenere in zones très isolées où les secours peuvent mettre des heures à intervenir. La sécurité est notre priorité essentielle plutôt que la vitesse ou le risque.
Le circuit est parfaitement adapté à tout pilote en bonne condition physique et avec un minimum d'expérience tout-terrain. Après, c'est plus une question de mental pour aller au bout de l'effort et élargir ses horizons !

- Nous vous conseillons de ne pas rouler seul. Les participants roulent en général en groupe, mais attention, chaque pilote est responsable de son pilotage.
- If you’re coming une autre région du monde,prévoyez d'arriver au moins un jour avant le début du trip afin de vous remettre du décalage horaire.

DIRT OR PAVEMENT
Tous les jours, un briefing matinal vous permettra d'en savoir plus sur la route du jour, vous pourrez alors decider de rouler sur la piste ou de prendre l'option route goudronnée. Une fois de plus, à vous de prendre la décision la mieux adaptée à votre pilotage.
RIDING IN GROUP
Rouler seul est dangereux et nous vous encourageons donc à rouler en groupe. Néanmoins, chacun est libre de rouler à son rythme et de prendre le temps de s'arrêter pour faire des photos ou autre...
SHARING MEMORIES
Arrivés à l'hôtel, un apéro sera servi avant un diner au restaurant, l'occasion de partager les anecdotes du jour et de se lier d'amitié avec les autres pilotes !
