Rental Conditions

To rent a Yamaha Tenere 700 with Moto Trails USA, you have to rent for a minimum period of 2 days. Pickup location is Huntington Beach, CA, or anywhere in SoCal with a delivery fee.

Your Yamaha Tenere 700

The Yamaha Tenere 700 comes with unlimited mileage and is equipped with

  • Crash bars
  • Protection for radiators and headlight
  • Skid Plate
  • Dunlop Mission tires
  • Lock

For additional fees, we can add some equipment on your rental bike:

  • Mosko Moto Tank 8L bag (+$10/day)
  • Mosko Moto 40L Saddle bags (+$20/day)
  • GPS TrailTech Voyager Pro (+$9/day)

If needed, you can also rent from us some gear (helmet, boots, jacket, pant…) Ask us and we’ll give you a quote!

Age and driver licence

The minimum age is 25 years old, a requirement in our insurance policy. A motorcycle endorsement on your valid driver licence is mandatory. European riders need to present a driver licence with an “A” (unrestricted) category.

Insurance

If you already have a motorcycle insurance, we encourage you to check with your provider if they cover a rental bike. It shouldn’t be a problem.

If you don’t already have a motorcycle insurance or don’t want to use yours, you can subscribe to a daily coverage through our provider, starting from $15/day.

Deposit

Before starting the rental of your Yamaha Tenere 700, a deposit of $1,000 is required. Before you leave for your ride, we’ll check the condtion of the bike with you. Deposit will be returned when the bike is returned in the same condition you picked it up. 

Cancellation Policy

No cancellation fee if you cancel at least 15 days before the beginning of your rental period.
If the cancellation is between:

  • 14 – 8 days before departure, you will pay 50% of the total price
  • 7 days to 1 day before departure, you will pay 80% of the total price

If you cancel the day of departure or you’re not coming for any reason, you won’t get any refund.

Fuel, mechanical incident, flat tire, accident...

Fuel: Our Yamaha Tenere 700 will be provided with a full tank and has to be returned with a full tank. Please use only higher octane gasoline (no less than 91 rating). If the tank is empty or close to it, you’ll have to pay a $20 charge.

Mechanical incident: We highly recommend to have a roadside assistance policy, with your provider or ours. We are providing Yamaha Tenere 700s in excellent condition, so you shouldn’t encounter any mechanical trouble. It’s your responsibility during the rental period to inspect the bike (monitor tire pressure, check lights and oil level…)
If something happened, call us or email us immediatly and we’ll do our best to assist you if you’re less than 100 miles from us.

Flat Tire: If you end up with a flat tire, contact your roadside assistance provider if you have one. If the wheel is damaged and does not operate safely, stop riding the bike and contact us. Our provider doesn’t cover the cost of tire repair or replacement, so this cost will be your responsability (a minimum of $200 will be deducted from your deposit).

Accident: If unfornatunately you’re involved in an accident and/or the bike is damaged, secure yourself first and then respond to the local authorities. Notify us immediately in case of such an event, we’ll do our best to help you.

You are responsible to bring us back the Yamaha Tenere 700 to get your deposit back. If we have to pick-up your rental bike ourselves, you’ll be charged an extra $200 or more depending of the location.
